Liechtenstein Residence

Located along the Georgetown waterfront, the penthouse residence of this diplomat overlooks the Potomac River and provides dramatic views of the Washington monuments.
The modern design concept was in direct response to the Ambassadors wishes to portray their country as a modern state open to the world.
Located on a secure floor accessible only by a private elevator, the 3,750 SF residence is located adjacent to the Chancery creating a synergy through use of common spaces and similar finishes. Located on the Penthouse level, the residence provides the Ambassador with a generous living quarter consisting of an entry hall, living and dining room, spacious kitchen large enough to seat the Ambassador’s family, two guest bedrooms with private bathrooms, and mezzanine level master bedroom, bathroom, and study.  The Residence is designed in the modern international style with, open spaces generously sized to allow for flexibility and accommodate diplomatic needs.  A generous terrace of 2,400 SF wraps around the southern and western exposure allowing the most dramatic views be experienced from both inside and outside of the residence.

The clarity of the open layout provides impressive exterior views to monumental Washington. The finish and color palette compliments the International style white background with a palette of natural finishes and color including extensive use of natural bamboo millwork.
